CBIC issues a letter for AGMARK certification for import of Blended Edible Vegetable Oil

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on July 10, 2020 issued a letter for the requirement of AGMARK certification prior to import of blended edible vegetable oils (BEVO). Where the department has clarified that the import of BEVO is not allowed in India without an AGMARK certification. Further, BEVO shall also comply with the regulations and rules mentioned in the FSS Act, 2006.
